Book Review: A Christmas Wedding by Paige Toon

Synopsis:
The short story eBook sequel to Thirteen Weddings, from bestselling author Paige Toon.

Four years ago, following that fated thirteenth wedding, Bronte fled the UK and has been happily burying her head in the sand ever since. But when an email lands in her inbox from Alex, it seems her past might be about to catch up with her right here in Sydney. Is it time for Bronte to finally face her demons?

My Review:
I was so excited to get my hands on this short story sequel to 'Thirteen Weddings', I really liked the character of Bronte so I really enjoyed reconnecting with her and what happened after that Thirteenth Wedding!

Don't worry if you haven't read Thirteen Weddings, I love Paige's writing and how she always recaps on the characters throughout so you never feel like you have missed out on any important plots or twists.

Four years later and Bronte is still living with Lachie in Australia but straight away you can tell there are cracks in their relationship, is this the life that Bronte wants? Do they both still want the same things?

I must admit I wasn't a massive fan of Alex in 'Thirteen Weddings' I was always Team Lachie but I must admit I was rooting for Alex more in this short story, I felt like he had grown up a lot from the last book and the feelings they have for each other never seemed to have disappeared.

Like all Paige Toon's books I loved the links to all her other characters, Lucy & Nathan, Joseph & Alice also her most recent characters Bridget & Charlie.

I always find myself wondering after finishing a book what happens with the characters and what their futures hold so I love it when Paige links them all and gives us little snippets of information and updates on what's happening. Especially mentioning Lucy & Nathan, 'Lucy in the Sky' was one of the first books I read of Paige Toon's so I loved that their still together.

This might be a short story but it's packed with love, laughter and lots of tears!
